Neighbourhoods / London, Ontario

Byron

A leafy southwest village with Springbank Park and Boler Mountain on its doorstep.

Byron

Byron began as a riverside settlement around 1800, went by Hall's Mills for a time and was eventually named after the poet Lord Byron. It joined London in 1961, and the decades since have filled in the hills around the old village with quiet residential streets. The result is a neighbourhood that feels settled and green, with mature trees, plenty of parks and a small village shopping area of its own.

Recreation is a big part of life here. Springbank Park sits just across the Thames, and Boler Mountain offers skiing, snowboarding and tubing in winter and mountain biking when the snow melts. Homes are mostly single-detached, which gives Byron a stable, family-friendly feel, and commuters appreciate the quick connections to Highways 402 and 401.
